Sharon received her M.S.W. from the University of Minnesota in 1963. She practiced in Minnesota and California before moving to Arizona in 1971. Sharon has had her own private practice in the Phoenix Metropolitan area since that time. She was listed in the Town & Country magazine in 1988 as one of the Outstanding Psychotherapists in the United States.

Sharon was a pioneer in family therapy in Arizona and, in 1980, was the co-founder of the Institute for Creative Change, a community training program for healthcare professionals designed to develop effective change practices in their work with individuals, couples, families and organizations. More than 300 therapists, coaches and consultants trained with Sharon at the Institute during the 20 years that she was a lead trainer. She received a special citation for Outstanding Contributions to the Field from the Arizona Association of Marriage and Family Therapy in 1992.

Sharon's private practice evolved over 30 years into life and relationship coaching with an emphasis on personal, couple, family and business issues. She has converted her previous office practice into a telephonic practice. Sharon also has developed special interests in the art of positive living, positive aging and enriching couple relationships. She provides seminars and workshops for people who want to enhance their skills for these ways of living.

Sharon has made many professional presentations in local, national and international conferences about creative change and constructing positive futures. She has always been on the cutting edge with her thinking and practice regarding positive and effective change. Sharon is an Associate of the Taos Institute, an international group of academicians and practitioners collaborating in the development of innovative approaches to constructing personal, organizational and social change. She also serves on the Board of Advisors of the Spirit of Enterprise Center, W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. The Spirit of Enterprise Center is dedicated to leading small, emerging and family businesses to growth and prosperity.
